Peter & I met at the World Series of Beach Wrestling in Acapulco, Mexico. Upon our return stateside, I engaged Peter to do phone consultations with me to discuss strength & conditioning, as well as mindset shifts. I’ve since become the Masters Beach Wrestling World Champion. His S&C plan & mindset coaching helped when I didn’t know where to start.

He also trains himself with elite wrestlers in Oklahoma and other great places known for wrestling. Coach Hammer walks what he preaches and does it all with positive energy and a growth mindset.

Coach Hammer is a good coach, who is wonderful to work with because of his whole range of knowledge. I'm always learning from him; from small to big details that make a difference. He's always able to offer different options if the first attack isn't there. This is super helpful in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

His experience and knowledge is absolutely next level. If wrestling isn't applicable to a given situation, he gives us alternatives that are BJJ-applicable.

A I've learned a lot from Coach Hammer in a short amount of time. Specifically, I've benefitted from learning high-level moves that have worked in all of my matches. While working with him for Folkstyle, he taught me Freestyle and Greco positions that transferred directly to my Folkstyle and specific to my own personal technique. I did this at his Pop-Up Camp with Mirzo Khayitov right before the 2026 OSSAA 4A West Regionals and State. I'm definitely glad I made that drive to get their training.

I fully believe that if youth and high school wrestlers are willing to buy-in and put forth effort in their technique and wrestling practice, they will absolutely see results after working with Coach Hammer.

Both of my boys work extremely hard and have great coaches in their corner. I know both of them are exactly where they need to be. We drive 2 hours roundtrip a few times per week to attend practice in Madill. It's worth it. The coaches are committed 110%. My boys see that and match their energy.

Additionally, we are fortunate for how Coach Hammer is opening up new opportunities for all of the club kids! I know both of my boys are excelling quickly. The game changer to their performance is the respect they both have for their coaches.

Working with Coach Peter Hammer was one of the best moves for me in furthering my wrestling career. My coaches believe in me and push me to be my best. I'm grateful that they expect nothing less. Confidence is key. Combining knowledgeable coaching with my own determination, I believe the sky is the limit.

I appreciate all of my coaches so much. They've helped me through a lot this year. I finally won my first state championships. And, both were on the same day. I've never done that before. I think practice can be tough sometimes, but it's also fun. We're always working to be better wrestlers and to be mentally tough. I'm glad I have my coaches. I think they try to help me be the best me I can be.

It was super sweet getting to meet Roman Bravo-Young. I've been a big fan for several years. Having access to someone like RBY as a resource shows how fortunate I am to have someone like Coach Hammer as my Folkstyle & Freestyle coach.
